Back Bay Wedding
What is more iconic in Boston than the Prudential Center in the heart of Boston’s Back Bay? It is the tallest landmark, which can be seen from miles around Boston. This is the place that Daryl and Michelle decided to tie their knot – nothing short of a classic Back Bay wedding.
They got ready at the Hilton Boston Back Bay; married a walk’s throw at Saint Cecilia Parish; walked to the Prudential Center and Christian Science Plaza for the bridal portraits; and returned to the Hilton Boston Back Bay for the reception. It was a perfectly sunny summer day, blue skies, and optimism in the air. The bridesmaids all wore different colored dresses and the groomsmen wore grey suits. They opted for a traditional first look at the altar. To make this logistically work, the groomsmen made the short walk from the hotel to the church ahead of the ladies.
Daryl and Michelle are a laid-back couple, so although the formality of the event was observed, their personalities kept the event light and fun. The groomsmen carried Daryl, like a king without a throne, through the downtown streets. A passing Duck Boat shouted and whooped their congratulations. The evening ended with a dance floor that was easily filled up with no song left un-danced.
