Cambodian Wedding in Lowell
We’re revisiting this wedding that we did a few years ago because our website crashed and this blog post disappeared. Pholla and Tommy were married at Mt. Pleasant Golf Club in Lowell and had their reception at the Pailin City Lowell. Her brother walked her down the aisle, and it was an unusual moment for us because as he started to get emotional, we got choked up as well. Although the ceremony was intimate, the reception had over five hundred guests. As you walk up the stairs to the venue, it opens up to a large area with a dance floor and lots of dinner tables. We snuck to the roof of Pailin City and took a few photographs at sunset and at night. Pholla changed into traditional Cambodian outfit for a portion of the reception.
It’s great to be a part of a couple’s big day, but even more meaningful when the relationship grows into something more. Since then, they have become close friends. We met them at Barnes and Noble and we instantly clicked and wanted to photograph their wedding. We also took our dogs Arnold and Snickers with us for this meeting and they met our dogs. Since their wedding, they have adopted two of their own dogs – two little pugs – and the four dogs have had a few play dates together.
