Ceremony with a Rolls Royce and a Bagpiper
Ryan and Nicole were married at the All Saints Episcopal Church in Danvers, MA and had the reception at the Boston Marriott Peabody. The church is a block away from Ryan’s parents’ home, so the groomsmen got ready there and took a leisurely walk to the church. The girls got ready in the hotel. When we arrived, Nicole already had her hair and makeup done and was waiting to get dressed. The room was so organized – hardly any mess despite having five bridesmaids. It was very calm – a reflection of Nicole. The bridesmaids wore blue garden-patterned robes while getting ready and the bride wore a white robe. Nicole had two wedding gowns – one with a corset and a ballgown for the formal ceremony and the first dance; afterward, she changed into a slim-body-fitting satin gown.
One of the most touching lines from the ceremony is the Pastor saying how Nicole had always dreamed about getting married and having the ceremony in this church that she’s been attending as a little girl. How many girls dream of weddings (the dress, the guy), but how many actually think about the actual vows.
Nicole arrived at the church in a Rolls Royce with a bagpiper helping to create a memorable entrance. The bridesmaids arrived in a limo and the groomsmen walked the one block to the church. Nicole was escorted by her mother and father down the aisle. After the ceremony, the entire bridal party gathered at the Peabody Institute Library’s majestic columned structure overlooking the Mill Pond.
Sweet Middle School Love
Nicole and Ryan met when they were in sixth grade. In fact, Nicole asked Ryan to be her “boyfriend” in the 6th grade, and he said no! They had classes together all through middle school and high school and were always friendly with each other. They both chose Merrimack College. After two weeks of attending Merrimack, they knew there was something special. Five years later, they got married!
We did the engagement session at Merrimack College – it was one of the most fun sessions we’ve had – leaf-throwing and playing peek-a-boo for the camera.
Reception
We arrived at the Boston Marriott Peabody with the cocktail hour in full swing. The bridal party had a designated suite where they ate heart-shaped pizza and hors d’oeuvres. The reception started with an entertaining entrance by the bridal party. The couple’s first dance left everyone tearing up. It was certainly one of the most touching moments. The parent dances ended with a big family hug and more tears. We were so honored to witness their love and be able to document these moments.
